My Current Philosophy 

                    Furthermore, my overall philosophy of early childhood curriculum and one strategy used to implement it in the early childhood classroom will be addressing future early childhood education teacher’s aids’ and other early childhood care professionals whom should provide in addition to developmentally and cognitive practices in the classroom; as well as morale and spiritual practices in which should be brought forth as well as the assigned curricula for the early childhood education program. This will indeed eventually result in the overall transformation of the whole child’s cognitive, meta-physical, social, physical and spiritual well being as a whole. By providing this spiritual practice in addition to general guidelines and typical classroom practices, derived for young children, I believe the added spiritual component will benefit the child as a whole regarding the “whole” child and all aspects of their whole being and character. Not just solely based on what they re-live out of the classroom setting, their teachers and/or peers influence, or educational, social or cognitive benefits. Also, to enhance their overall character inside and out by transforming them to realize their purpose instead of just solely their potential regarding their implemented skills and what they will now learn to offer the world solely at an educational level. This added spiritual component will strengthen their overall character as well. This character of the transformed young child is derived solely on the basis of: 1. Setting an example for them because I believe children learn by example. 2. Overall, understanding and accepting diversity and certain disabilities. 3. Knowing the main purpose behind the active learning, because after-all a spiritual force or God cannot prompt or make children learn faster or motivate them to be independent or perform tasks on their own, but in the end do help them recognize their overall self-worth, which tends to raise self-esteem, so then eventually they will tend to understand the basic concepts even better. They will be more clear and easier to comprehend this time around. Now using the above additional ‘spiritual’ source will allow the educator to ask themselves, will spiritual implementation on school ‘curricula’ for the young child really benefit the young child or not be a relevant concept for the young child and facilitator or both? How will the spiritual force benefit the children’s families in an educational or moral sense? In other words, do teacher’s really ‘practice what they preach’ ? 

       One strategy to effectively teach young children: 

                      One strategy in which I will effectively use to educate young children is, ‘meta-cognitive’ thinking. Which is what in my belief system, how I think teachers’ and caregivers should really think based on solely implementing spiritual elements into preschoolers and young children’s criteria and curriculum. According to, Jaruszewicz, C. (2013) in the text, “Reflective teacher’s and educator’s whom think about their work at the highest level are meta-cognitive thinkers’ in not only regarding what they do but also from the overall process of their actions’ which they use to make decisions along with internal dialogue built on close examination of their actions, adapting practices to be consistent with revised beliefs.” (1.5) Now without the spiritual implementation within the preschool curriculum do you think children really will acquire a higher sense of self-worth and achievement? Well, actually some people in general might think quite the contrary. On the other hand, some people are ‘spiritually blinded’ as well. Well, generally speaking teacher’s and other educators’ whom approve or agree that spirituality would be a beneficial element in early childhood curricula are possibly or normally referred to as, meta-cognitive thinkers.
